intercooler MOD?
I too had a similar idea, I was going to have the end tanks cut off and the cores welded together, but I found the OBX for a good price and went with it. Now they are 199-275 if you look on ebay. So you really can go wrong. With what you're thinking I would say its bad for flow, the pipes that are welded together in your drawing will act as a big restriction, so it will go "flow good-restricted-flow good" again, so I would think it would hurt performance rather than help it. As the ATI kit sits w/ the twins they are pretty much flowing just like the drawing anyway, they are both tied together at the plenum.

I say go for the OBX you really can't go wrong with it and for the price they are selling at.

Do you or anyone have pics of how they set up thier FMIC. I'm a bit stuck as to how the plumbing would be set up. I agree > the picture is not a good idea! I think I'm just board and have better things to be thinking about!

Thanks guys! I doubt I'll have any weekends off.... At least for a while. The good news is I'll be opening my 7th Hooters on Wednesday if all goes as planned! It's kind of wierd > 2 Hooters next to each other... I'm tearing the old one down next weekend if I can open the new one up on time...... Damm alcohol license board!
You never want to connect intercoolers in series. If you are going to use two, you want to install them in parallel like they are for the ATI. Jeremy's comment on cutting the tanks is the better way to go, but if you can weld aluminum you might as well just buy a larger core from bell or griffin and make your own application.
