Yeah, it is a small cam IMO. It had a 224/224 cam in it that made another 100+rwhp @7000rpm (only about 20 more peak though), but it just didn't drive smooth enough for me.

In all reality, I just need more practice driving the car and learning how to launch it. It pulled a 1.51 60ft with the same setup last time at the track, so I think I might be able to improve on it by playing with the 2-step and suspension settings.

LT1 6-speeds own

Magic Chicken- I was awake just concentrating on driving since nobody was lined up next to me.

Mike 01WS6- The trans is a G-force T56, which has stronger gears and input/output shafts. It hasn't complained so far.

If you dont mind me asking how much for the trans upgrades if I brought in my T-56 or something close to it that would hold at least 650ftlbs

Thanks guys.

Mightymouse, I'm using 83lb injectors. I'm not sure why powershifting picked it up so much. With the single setup, I would consistently gain 1 mph from powershifting. Maybe I'm just not good at 'regular shifting' anymore, lol.

97M6Formula- Here is info and pricing on the G-force parts. (we are a dealer for them, so it might be slightly cheaper than the prices on their website)

http://www.g-forcetransmissions.com/tran_gt-56.asp

I got the 1st-4th gearset (stock overdrive gears), 4340 30-spline mainshaft, triple cone conversion, 2.71 1st gear.

Have you logged the shift drop between runs? On my FAST when I shift at 7000 it has dropped to 5500. I hope that next time out it will not drop so much.

Did you guys have to glue the track like crazy to make the 26's work?

I can check the datalogs, but it should be

1-2 6300-4100

2-3 6300-4650

3-4 6300-4800

I chose those transmission gear ratios so there was less rpm drop at each gear change. (Figuring it would be better to have more rpm drop at lower speeds)

They wouldn't let us spray the track with VHT, but they were letting Jay spray VHT in the burnout box, which I'm sure was getting dragged up.

It didn't take much to get them to hook, I think I could have left with more power no problem. (left at 4,400 and 4lbs of boost). QA1's were set on 4 in the front and 7 in the rear, stock springs, and stock swaybars still attached.

Did the shift drop change on the powershifted runs?

How were the IAT's this time?

Well, I can check the datalogs for exact #'s, but being a stick shift car, the above numbers are correct assuming I did shift at exactly 6,300.

RPM drop for each gear is-

1-2 drops 2,200 RPM's

2-3 drops 1,650 RPM's

3-4 drops 1,500 RPM's

RPM drop is dictated by transmission gearing and does not change.

IAT through the traps was 177 degrees. A bit toasty IMO.
