Lingenfelter 415cid bottom end strength?

Lingenfelter 415cid bottom end strength?

420 BHP 450 ft/lbs 6.0 short block lunati bottom end. I've heard that the lunati billet steel rods are not that strong. I want to put a supercharger on the motor but am concerned if the bottom end will hold. Anyone throw one of those rods.

There is no way you will throw a Lunati rod. Where are you getting this information from?

I would be happy to answer any questions for you regarding your LPE engine.

As I stated in your other thread, strength is not an issue with that engine, but if you install a supercharger, tuning is critical.

Bad tuning can kill any engine, no matter how strong the internals are.

I have a 396 Sbc that had there rods and it blew. I have a friend that used there rods on a high horse car and it blew. I have gone with Eagle rods on my 396 but they do not clear as easy. My 396 will be running a procharger with a lot of boost. I just wanted to see if anyone else was having problems with there rods on strocker motors.

My 418 has Lunati rods. My engine is out right now because the dry sleeves leaked coolant into the oil. My main bearings are hurt but the rods look like new. I was running 12 lbs. with no problems.
