But i thought if we are tunning via LS1 Edit i dont need a regulator right? How can i change the fuel pressure with LS1Edit?
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Even though you tune via edit that doesnt mean anything when it comes to fuel pressure.... if FP is dropping then the injector size is smaller then its rated size. Most Injectors are rated at 3 bar FP... 43.5PSI The LS1 fuel system runs at 4 bar..... 58 psi.... so a 42# injector is bigger then the stated 42# injector. Like my Motron 60's are like 68#ers at 58 psi. That is the problem with the LS1 the Regulator is at the tank.... not at the Rail like it should be. A FP regulator is was .... regulates FP...... Thats why everyone says to buy a adjustable FP Reg. If your inj. are at 130% then they are way beyound what they were designed for...... with a higher FP they could go farther.... but the standard to not go over is 80% injector duty cycle..... The 57's are nice but if you ever plan on going way big down the road go with the 60's... or even the 75#ers... thats the biggest High impedence Inj.... but has a cost... $750. We can only run high impedence injectors and if you do go with a set of low imped. injetors you have to run a converterbox and its another $400 or so.... and i dont even know how its works with tuning........ hope i didnt confuse you.

Used to use Edit, but now only the pimp stuff lol. It was a pretty steady 10.5:1 then bout 5200 it starts to do the tail up leaner. Its maxing the maf out pretty early so I figured have to tail up the PE like normal but it would make it richer then do the tell tale trail up. Need to open the cutout and let her pull

I think you should be looking for the injectors that act the best - are easily controlled. Big injectors dont like to idle at tiny pusewidths look into the racetronix 57, and mototron 60s, and never buy injectors again
or a good pump, some careful tuning, and larger injectors should get you where you need to go as well.

For the 60's I would set the fuel pressure via the regulator to a FP somewhere that will be comfortable for your system. If you are only boosting 7psi then set the base FP to something like high 40'spsi.
Ex: With vacuum you are running 48psi. So at boost you may be in the low 60's. You will just have to play around with it.
If you dont change the base FP with the boost referenced regulator and you run real high boost, you will be running 70+psi of FP..which you want to avoid doing. You really want to avoid going over 75-80psi
Thanks... I was expecting 540rwhp at 6400RPM or so, but i was surprised when Jeff told me on the phone that it made 535rwhp at 6000rpm while boosting around 7.5 psi!!! Im aiming for 9.5psi at 6500rpm when i get the 60lbs injectors and dual springs (which im waiting for two weeks now). The car drives really well... U can compare it to a TR224 which is really streetable in a M6. Alot of people thought that this cam is too much overlap before i got this thing on the dyno. FMS rocks

We could knock off $10.00 from every injector if we did not go to the trouble of flowing and grouping the injectors which BTW requires us to have a few hundred or more in stock.

Whats the difference between an injector that is flow matched and one that isnt?
