Default Twin BB T70's

So I finally made up my mind, even though I think single turbo LS1s are great, it just doesn't sound as good as a twin turbo ls1.

Turbos are on the way, anyone got pics of their twin turbo fbody setups? What kind of headers did you use?

One of the local fabrication shops says they will make me a set of forward facing headers with turbo flanges on the end for 500-900 depending on how much stuff I relocate / remove.

I've already assumed that the drivers side is too tight to fit through without doing stuff like ABS delete, Power steering delete or Alternator relocate. I tend to think it would be best to delete the power steering and leave the alternator where it sits.

Feedback?

Harlan has some awesome pics on his site, Ill see if I can find the link, His setup seems exactly like you are looking for.
Oh and 500-900 for manifolds is an awesome deal for custom.

Heres the folder with pics. Takes time to go through, but its worth it.

408, I also plan to help the turbos along with a nitrous shot.

Ok, he is f'ing sick and wrong. I just checked out all of thoes pictures.

Looks like I'm going to have to !ABS control module and relocate the fuse boxes for sure if I want the turbo to go right there. Which is a great spot for it.

You arn't going to need to worry about nitrous with a 408 and twin BB T70's, I'd be more worried about the compressors not being suitable for the motor. Supras have problems running T70's because they get ungodly amounts of surge with the T70 compressors, and half of a 408 is pretty similar in size to a supra motor. I'd take a closer look at the compressor maps, and make sure everything looks ok.

twin 70's are what i am thinking for me. here is the map

looking at a few points i would expect at least 600fwhp(60lb/2) at 7psi on a well flowing 408
then 800+fwhp(80lb/2) at 14psi. seems like those numbers put you in an ok place on that chart unless i am looking at it wrong.

Some people have too much money and too much time on their hands.

That is just pathetic, sick, disgusting. It is so wrong that it should be against the law.

That motor is on crack now! As soon as that car is tested for the first time I can just see the look on observers faces. They will all be like " something in that car dont belong"!

hmm, here is another map, i dont like how they number that first one. it does look like he will be close to the surge limit but at 1bar i bet that motor will be closer to 90lb's of air.

would a 427c.i motor spin over twin 70's with ease?
