7 Second Response!
Ron and Kurt (Pre Hardcore) got plenty of respect for their accomplishments last year. And like every year they have been surpassed. Chris asked a legitimate question and many of us are just as curious. They did a nice job on the TA at Thunder. But, just like all of the cars that ran in Outlaw the coupe would have been just as competitive. Other then the car running and showing well (and within the rules), no one really knows why they ran what they did. Maybe it was uncertainty of the total package, similar to what APE experienced. Only the Hardcore guys can answer that.
On a different note, and the catalyst for this thread, it's one thing to promote yourself like what APE did. Granted they fell short, but it should come together with more work. In this particular case someone logged onto LS1Tech from Hardcore and started troll posting.
As we all know perfectly well many of our members do not appreciate anyone making troll type posts. Sooner or later they are found out as was the case here. And in the end they started catching more flack for it. Now we are here. I'm glad Ron came in and said something. There is no proof as to who really made the posts but it was clearly coming from somewhere at Hardcore. If Ron wants to PM any of the staff I'm sure we can help him figure out who was doing it.
Beyond that no one is trying to discredit anyone, APE, Hardcore or otherwise. That being said, there definitely will be some LT1's and LS1's in the sevens in the next twelve months. I'm sure it will be very interesting for everyone to watch.
On a side note, if any of the Hardcore guys are reading this, are you selling any of the CF body parts as a product?
you guys couldn't build a 7 second car if your life depended on it!!!
step back and watch how it's done!!!
then i can't understand what your problems with them are. i saw that car in person, hours before they hit the road to go down to Thunder, and they were still prepping the car!!! hahaha, you guys can really start some ****. that car more than put down the numbers as i was there for their 2 final dyno pulls before loading the car on the trailer. UNGODLY!!!! i also saw the chassis work that was done to this car, as did all who have followed the progress posted here or on their website.someone let me know if they did or said something that any one of us has not done or said ourselves. are they guilty of being over zealous about their car? who isn't? and if they did say something offensive, i'm curious as to what it was. i don't want to back someone who's not worthy of it, but from what i saw of their shop and meeting the crew that day, they're decent guys in my opinion.
later,
Dave
. gotta trust your engine builder..right??? NO! after enuff of getting screwed i bailed! my pocket book is only so deep, lol!!! and i enjoy driving my car all summer, after all it is street driven...... lots!i will repeat myself, offensive hmmmm...fish in a barrel ? as i mentioned i found that was offensive. no my car isn't a hundred thousand dollar shop car, but i do what i can. I have one new goal for next year, if I can achieve it you'll know it when i post it, lol!!! then maybe i'll be the offensive one.
oh and good luck to APE, once they get their stuff sorted out i am sure it will get down the track quite nicely.
If anything, the APE guys should show you that it takes a lot more than throwing money and high dollar parts at a car to get it to run and win.

Ltlhomer, sentence above applies to you as well! Also, there was NO SHARPNEL, the engine didn't blow up. We lifted the heads, two new gaskets and we're ready to go again this weekend.
Taner, I was not trying to be offensive towards your car. I think that your car hauls *** and is one of hte best LT1 powered cars out there. You guy's in MS/PA were out matched by Ronnies car. Just like you would have been if the reat of us outlaw guy's decided to run MS/PA. The point of all of this was not to discredit Ronnies win or to say that any of your cars were slow. The point was to hopefully get Ronnie to run outlaw with that car. That way the rest of the MS/PA cars that truely fit that class can run and have a chance at winning. If you let car's like Ronnies run in that class then there is no need for the Outlaw class, cause we will all be running the MS/PA class before to long. I am pretty sure that all of the outlaw cars could fit in the MS/PA class. All that will do is hurt our poor car count and soon we won't have any races. A class that was designed for 9 second cars shouldn't have mid 8 second cars running in it, not when there is a higher class. He entered that class knowing he could win, he didn't enter Outlaw because he knoew it would have been a stout challenge! All of the MS/PA guy's you want 7-8 more outlaw cars in your field, so be it cause you will. I apologize to you taner, like I said no offense was meant torwards you. Just trying to get the one car to move up to outlaw.
Congrats Ronnie, a win is still a win.

Your right, well at least we showed up and gave it a try. Years not over yet, we plan on doing a lot of racing in the next month. I am sure we will be able to get stuff figured out before it's all said and done. Haven't seen you racing your car(s) at any of the events this board has?? With all of your wisdom you shed on this board and your high post count, I would think that you would be at all of the race we have here?? Being the great contributer you are to this board and all. Take care and have fun in your world.
