Default Fmu?

I still have the original FMU that came with my ATI kit. I also have the inline fuel pump that came with the kit. I never see anyone with a FMU, do I need to keep it? Does it really surve ant purpose? Is the inline fuel pump any good?

I opened my bullet up last night and hit 9psi. Time to up grade my fuel system!

You have injectors or pump on your car. You don't need the FMU with the right injectors and tuning. Also you need something better then a stock pump.

FMU = Ghetto tuning device.

not needed when you have injectors that will flow enough to feed the motor's fueling needs.

although a 1:1 rising rate regulator is good to have

If you have bigger injectors and programming throw the FMU in the trash, thats about what its worth. The ATI inline pump was good enough fpr 9psi + a 50 shot on a stock motor - ran 10.62 @ 127 with 42lb injectors and the ATI inline pump being the only fuel mods..

I have never used the FMU. The car was tuned some time ago, and I thought it was time to get rid of the stupid thing.

fmu's get good money on ebay. The ricers who can't get real tuning love them.

Good to see that you finally have the belt issue solved...... 9psi huh.... at what RPM?? Were yoou close to redline or you just let off when you saw 9 psi??? If i was you i would hit the dyno again and have your A/F checked to see how it is with this new found boost of yours and to make sure you have enough fuel to go with the extra air you have going in the motor now..... Set some time aside in that busy *** schedule of yours and go check the tuning again and lets see what she makes now....... How much boost before?? 4-5?? If so i bet that 9 psi felt huh???

If you got the cash and time put a better in-tank in, the racetronix setup is nice. But the ATI inline will do 500rwhp, barely but it will. I mounted mine is a slightly different spot then ATI recommends and it took no time to put it on. If you installed a big in-tank pump there would be no need for the ATI inline.

Last FMU I put on eBay I got a whopping 13.00 for, wasnt even worth shipping

problem with ebay is sometimes things you think should go for decent money dont. I have seen some FMUs sell for 100.00 and some FMUs never get bid on. All depends on who is looking at the time I guess and how you present things.

Nasty > I would say is the word. 9psi @ around 5800rpms. It felt very fast, but I got off it due to my stock fuel injectors are probably at their limit! I'm going to take my car to the dyno as soon as I get a day off, and can schedule my friend to help with tuning. Net week I have to go on a calendar girl tour > Man my life is tuff!!!! I get paid to do this

That sucks about the chick hunting man...
If you dont already pick up a set of 42# injectors and those should be enough for your setup.... Be sure to tune using a wideband..... thats about it... then you can get in it and see if you see 10 psi..... tune it nice and safe... id say under 12:1 across the board.....
