Pretty much defeats the purpose of a quench type combustion chamber.
The 'right' way to do it would be to rebuild the engine with forged/dished pistons.

bro if your considering lowering the CR, then you really ought to put some forged pistons on there.
if you lower CR, you are gonna try more and more boost or spray til she goes boom. im sure you know how boost is addicting. But then again, some guys do fine w/ like 12psi and a good tune.( tune means it all)
But getting a 9: 1 CR on the stock flat top pistons, you could go with the AFR 76cc heads & a cometic gasket (.054")
