Default Weird!

A very "ricey" mod in my opinion. Didn't anybody think about using mirrors on the ground when at show? - People do that all the time. Now, I'm waiting for a see-thru hood and why not see-thru floors so that we can see the exhaust system...

At first I thought you were just running the piping INTO the car and containing the turbo and exhaust under plexi, but now I understand you just cut away a portion of the floor and leaving it outside but under plexi. I think thats a really cool idea and if I was a dealer, or did car shows frequently, Id think about doing the same thing.

What about maybe putting some polished aluminum together so you had some sort of an access door you could flip open or take off to show off the Turbo?

I know...How about an aluminum plate with a hydraulic opener? When you push a button, the plate would open. You could even add some smoke and lights too! Maybe have your stereo play some tunes as it opens. "Ladies and Gentleman. Boys and Girls. Introducing the Great and Powerful STS Turbo"....

The biggest concern to me was sealing it up VERY well. I thought about having something you could open, but I didnt want exhaust fumes to be an issue at all.

I agree, I personally don't care for most things bling, including this one but it's different. It's definately something that people will remember specifically about his car.

I think people are really missing the point here. Some really good data can be gathered by seeing the effect of the turbo on the plexiglass, as well as simply putting a camera down in the trunk to observe.

Also, where is this "ricey" and "bling" crap coming from?

As eluded to in another post, but I'll be overt; I guess it's okay to fill your trunk up with stereo equipment, but not have a clear view to a piece of equipment?

I see people with red and yellow filled grills, painted calipers, clear side markers, skirts, wings, etc. Should we call these cars "Rice"? Or better yet, "Uncle Bens"?

Also, unless there's triple-dipped chrome, there's no "bling". Bling does not mean just showing off, it means it shines so much that it makes the sound "bling bling" (as defined in the sound Bling Bling "way back" in 1998).

I for one an *very interested* in this STS Turbo and any long-term issues, and if this glass-bottom-boat thing gets more data, I'm all for it.
