Default Took a ride in an STS car

Well, I went for a ride in an Purevil/5litereater's sts car. Quick breakdown of the car:

LS1 Z28 6 speed
Forged block
LS6 ported heads
small turbo cam
9" rearend
STS with T70 and FMIC

At 14psi he is at 700rwhp. I believe he only had it set at 12psi when we ran. The car screamed and he only revved it to 5k rpm before shifting due to his oil pressure alarm going off. Full boost seemed to have hit just under 4000 rpm. With a decent size turbo mounted back there some lag is to be expected. Once you get out first gear lag becomes non-existent when the motor is wound up and the rpms drop for the next gear. All in all the kit is very clean and the car gets up and goes. It really sucks you back into the seat when that turbo spools up. For those of you on the fence about buying a clean, easy to put together kit, try and go for a ride with a board members car if possible. I am still going front mount with my T76, but I respect Mike's ride and am amazed at his power output. The car is a beast.

No problem Mike. The STS bashers out there say there is lag and wont make as much power/torque as a front mount. Well, ok, but it doesnt mean they still cant perform. You made big numbers with a small t70 and you had the 9" rearend squeeling like a stuck pig!

He made 630rwhp with 10psi on the dyno and he runs 14psi on the street. I assume it is a good guess that it is ~700rwhp with 14psi (4psi should be more than 70rwhp).
