Default A little bit about us...

Hi all,

Seeing as we're a new sponsor, I figured I'd give a little bit of background info about our company.

SD Concept Engineering, Inc, was founded by Scott Dickinson (the SD of SDCE!!) and me back in 1994. We've been incorporated since 1995 and we will officially celebrate 10 years of business in February of 2005.
Scott absolutely LOVES what he does everyday. While he can be brutally honest, he is VERY animated and enthusiastic about the automotive world and making sure people get a great product and top notch service and tech advise. He'd rather say it like it is, then blow smoke up your ****!
Nothing aggravates him more than paying a lot of money for a substandard product. He stands behind his work and his products because his pride and reputation mean a lot to him. While, yes, we are in business to make money, we are not in business to blind side people just to make a quick buck. Everything we sell is a product we have used and tested before we decide to sell it. In most instances, that is how our own products get developed like the spring tensioners. We find a flaw, and we fix it.
While we have several company project cars, our Challenger is probably the most recognized. Having been featured in 12 magazines to date, it started us down the road of centrifugal supercharging. We realized there weren't too many performance aftermarket parts for Chryslers. So back in 1995, we became a ProCharger dealer, and we made our own blower kits for Chryslers using ATI's head units. We were ATI's first dealer to fabricate a Chrysler kit using our Challenger as the test mule, and we remain their only dealer to have done so. We've been selling our Chrysler kits designed with our spring tensioners for almost 10 years now, and we've yet to get a complaint regarding our systems.
Our Challenger started out as a low 11 second small block, and over the years, has morphed into an 8 second big block monster! It is a 3500# car, caged, with a STOCK 383 block and crank using our intercooled blower kit with an ATI D3R (only 17psi). We use a Gm 4L80E tranny, and Scott leaves off idle (no transbrake). This past summer, he's gone 8.60's at 158mph, and it has plenty more to go. The car still has a back seat, and wherever Scott goes, his little girl Lindsey is with him! We still consider it a street car, and drive it around all summer to shows, and just to drive around looking for some fun! The wheelie bars and chute tend to scare people off though.
We don't have as much time as we'd like to "play" with our car, so we get to the track very little with it. Maybe next year the car will see the high 7's it was meant for!

So in a nutshell, we work on all makes and models. An engine is an engine and if you understand the dynamics behind it, you can fix them all no matter what emblem is on it. And they all have good things to contribute to high performance.
We understand many aspects of the race industry. We build engines, we work with many aftermarket parts, and we have designed and engineered our own line of performance products. For a full line of our products and services, check out our website.
We will be more than happy to help in any way we can.
Happy racing!

Wendy
