Question TT Fuel Systems

I want to know which fuel system will be better for my twin turbo setup

Both systems have full AN fittings and braided lines and 96LB/HR injectors and a weld on sump fitting for my metal 98 gas tank.

Fuel System #1
Twin A1000 Aeromotive pumps
3 Filters, 1 before, 2 after
Aeromotive rails
Aeromotive fuel pump controller
Aeromotive Fuel Regulator (Boost Reference)

Fuel System #2
Twin Bosch 420L pumps
LS1Speed UNIVERSAL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
LS1Speed Billet LS1 rails
1x UNIVERSAL FUEL FILTER, before pumps

So the Aeromotive pumps have reliability issues then? I also forgot to mention setup #2 has a thing that turns pump #2 off when its not necessary

The A1000's arn't as bad as, say, a bigass weldon in terms of street use, but they arn't going to last as long as the 420's. The Bosch pumps come stock in a lot of cars which says a lot about their reliability, and are quieter than the aeromotives. I run the Bosch 420's in my car, and they work great.

A few schools of thought, as well as some opinion. Bosch are nice, and quiet and according to speed inc can be mounted inside or outside the tank..but having two can present a new issue...if one fails, you can go lean and pop the motor...if you have only one and it fails, you stall. I had both, used the aeromotive Pro 1500 pump, and didnt have the correct filter..end result was boiling /cavitating that heated the gas and caused air bubbles so the pressure dropped to zero... I downsized to a 1000 and was fine. I would suggest a Aeromotive 1000 ELIMINATOR with as single Aeromotive pro filter...easy install and easy to change if it ever does fail...also will reduce the chance of leaning to the danger zone if one fails or fail to turn on if its boost referenced. Aeromotive is definately louder, but not rediculious unless you get the pro, which is Weldon type loud. Get the billet rails and run 10an feed with 8 an return..use a Aeromotive boost reference reg.
This is an option I found to work well and be a good supplier of the all impotant fuel. The standard A1000 is good for about 800 if boosted, not 1000 BTW.

That sounds right on with a lot of what I've heard, did you use the Aeromotive fuel pump controller on your setup? How did that work out for you?

Yes, I did... worked fine until the wire that ran to it (mounted i trunk) cam in contact with the exhaust pipe and left me troubleshooting on the side of the road for 45 minutes. But it worked fine, I ran 72lb injectors with the low impedance converter as well . I was very comfy with the system, but my recent desire to do more with less has left me willing to try letting racetronix build a internal dp system so I can go back to the stock tank. I enjoy the odor of gas, but my wife doesnt, so I want my evap back so she will quiet down. (My car sits on a lift in the garage just outside the kitchen door we use for daily access. ..and since it sits in there 340 days of the year Im not gonna fight this one.
