Default T-trim installed on 382ab

Finally got the T-trim on my car. Mike, Jeff, Gary and TY at Next Level Perf. got my car done in short time so I can run the No Bull Shootout at Orlando Speedworld on 12/12. Mike spent last night until 11pm tweaking the AF and timing so my car won`t detonate with the non FI Agostino heads. The car was very tricky to dyno with a TP 4400 Yank and T-trim. The best pull was 570rwhp,544rwtq with only 14*timing and 11:1 AF,on the first 2 pulls it was droping to 10:1 AF and below very rich! The converter was slipping 500-600rpm on top. He dynoed w/closed cutout because it was late at night and theres homes nearby. I waited for 7 months for Jay at Absolute Speed to do my 6.0 FI stageIII heads that I paid for in June, I finally gave up and had Mike Norris order me some AFR 225s. Hopefully by the end of Jan I`ll have the heads and a tighter converter and I can get some big hp and quicker times.

yea he is, i think mike kept the timing down to avoid detonation since he's over 11:1 compression.

Tell you what i've never heard a supercharged rev so quick, its almost like a turbo.
he has full power in like 4 seconds. must be from that gihugic verter.

Yes 93 and aftercooler. Mike Norris wanted to make sure it does`nt detonate with the 11:1 ARE heads. He did 7 dyno pulls to get the AF set, he took the timing back from 16* to 14* just to be safe, it did`nt detonate once. If Jay would have done my 6.0 FI heads it would be at 18* or 20* timing and making alot more HP. I`ll have AFR 225s by the end of Jan hopefully. The rpms come up real fast with the TP 4400 Yank, which is now flashing to 5000(should launch real hard if it hooks). What converter do you have in you setup John?

I'm running a Yank TP4400 that was flashing to 4300 on the dyno and on the brake. I sent it back a while ago to have it freshened and I also asked Mike to loosen it up just a bit since I wanted more shift extension.

So I guess you like the way the car runs the 1/4 with that converter if your keeping it and getting it restalled? Wow I did`nt realize you had the same size conv. and made 750rwhp thats impressive. I was thinking about a Vig 3800 w/5 clutch setup. If a conv that loose(TP4400) will work I`ll just keep it and get it freshened up, I`ll know if I still like it after this weekend with our LS1 race in Bradenton and No Bull in Orlando the next day.

My Yank flashed to 4300 on the chassis dyno.

It was dropping to 5500 on shifts. I was shifting at 7000.

To tight of a converter and you will have big drops on your shift. Too loose of a converter and you will spend most of your run in 3rd gear.

I sent my converter back since it was convenient to get it checked, and it was used from a friend. If it flashes more to around 4800 I'd like that. But that's going to make the car a wee bit less streetable.

I think a true 4000 is good for a street car depending on your shift points.
