It was only five years ago that this community started in for the 8's. For the longest time the LT1's has seem to have hit a wall at 9.11, then 9.04 but never the 8 second pass. Eventually an LT1 car did get to the 8's, but it wasn't the first there. (not that it matters when you do it, just part of a timeline for my little history lesson here)
Eventually it was an LS1 car that would break the 8 second barrier, and in a matter of two years here we are knocking on the 7 second zone. Not to mention doing all of this on a torque arm style suspension, thats just silly.
Good Luck to all of the teams this year, keep the wrenches turning. Team APE will be hard at work getting ready for the 2005 season so we can join this dance as well.

Um.that was 1000hp on flat out race fuel and 22psi..I will leave that there..
