I do believe I've been challenged
It's good to see some friendly rivalry.

I have watched Harlan race his car, working on it himself (with buddies)
(Just keeping the thead going)
Gotta love tha presents for H.
So..now were talking about 4 cars in the 7's, and have seen how many in the 8's??? Matt, Ronnie...and, well not a boatload more so lets not get ahead of ourselves in what something "should" run.
So glad to see that you like the gift. Send a picture when you get it installed on your car.
At the end of the day drag racing is just drag racing, it's the fun, friends and challenges that make it all worth the tremendous cost and effort involved. Of course, an occasional win is good too. Pro Stock champ Greg Anderson told me at Florida that he enjoys working on his cars as much or more than racing...I think alot of us share that same sentiment. I think that attitude is what draws us to this street legal late model stuff, it's not been done before and presents a great challenge. We could build a competitive carbureted small block super stock car here at Hardcore with our eyes closed, but where's the fun in that. So, race you to the 7's, it's not as going to be as easy as some may think....stock type suspension, little tires, high strung engine combo's, parts stresses well beyond their design limits....sounds like fun.

I don't think anybody is getting ahead of themselves:
Turley/Brown
Harlan
Duke
Rick C5
All 4 cars have shown 7 sec capability and you can always count on 1 unknown or underdog so I think 4-5 cars in the 7's could very well be a reality.
Tom
It's comming along OK. I hope to be on the engine dyno very shortly and with any luck I will get to make that illustirious 8.XX before the winter is over.
Thanks!
