Wink recommendations on new motor (Sponsors inside)

As you know (or didn't know) my motor is dead and I'm looking at getting a new one. I'm not the most knowledgeable person on motor building but have money... I'd like to get a motor that will make somewhere around 550 hp (I would like to add more boost if I get board with 550 hp) and is an everyday driver (very reliable). I already have a P1sc and a SDCE kit that I'm planning on adding to the whatever combo I get. Currently I have a 2000 T/A with stock internals and stock heads. I would like to get a cam and head package along with the new motor. I'll also have to update my fuel system. Currently I have stock fuel injectors, FMU, and an inline fuel pump (the inline fuel pump that came with my P1SC) I know alot of you guys have bought new motors and we also have some great sponsors that would like to make some money. Any and all recommendations on who I should talk with or your set ups would be very helpful. If any sponsors read this > send me a PM and let me know some round about $$$ I'd be looking at so we can do some business.

Thanks > Pete

Your goal would be fairly easy.I've got a few shortblocks from APE and they have worked great.
Forged 346 -9.5-1 compression with 64cc heads.
AFR 205 heads
220/224 Cam
P1 at 10lbs = 580rwhp conservative tune.
For fueling I would go with 60lber's,intank pump(hot wired)

Thanks Kyle.
As for as cubes go, doesn't really matter to me > probably 348 or 370. I don't want to build a motor that is full race. 550hp is not a ton of HP as I was making 440hp & 420tq to the back tires on my stock block set up with my blower. Would I need 50# injectors? Wouldn't 42 be good enough?
The APE deal sounds like the best around.

Hi,

You might be interested in our new line of shortblocks, depending on what boost level you plan to run. If your staying below 7psi, you could use our $2,095.00 shortblock as-is. This shortblock features Mahle forged pistons, and is very attractive at this price.
Here is a link to my thread in the sale section regarding the shortblocks:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/255473-lingenfelter-shortblocks-sale-again.html

If you want to run higher boost levels, we will need to install a dished piston, and a better rod, which will increase the price, but will give you all of the strength you will need.

Let me know what you think,
Ed

HPE is building my engine right now (398 iron block good for 1500 hp) and has been nothing but great. Erik Koenig has spent countless hours on the phone with me deciding on a motor that not only will handle high HP but be reliable as well. I highly recommend HPE for their attitude and customer service.
