Default Introducing my bro's ride....

My brother Eric Bazan (his unimaginative screen name here ) His ride is a white 95 Formula M6

A lil summation of parts and pieces...
396 ci LT1 Stroker, dragon slayer crank, forged rods and pistons, built for some boost
Vortech T-trim going for 12-15psi, non intercooled right now but that will be fixed

He worked for quite a long time to get it together due to many reasons but damn he got it going. I thought for sure he was going to sell it all at many points and time

Talk about smooth, the car idles nice and runs very nice the tune feels very good BUT - the damn thing didn't want to make any boost due to the dreaded belt slip He got a smaller belt and I threw some belt dressing on it for good measure. We took it out on the freeway for a 3rd gear pull, I floored it and 6psi popped up but the belt is still slipping some. I can see it putting down 10psi with no problems. But man it went pretty damn good for 6psi I think we have another 11 sec car in the ol frcefed family. Gotta fine tune some lil things and add an intercooler. Then its time for the track. Yeah its no thumper turbo or mega YSI-F1R blower but I'm damn proud of my lil big bro for getting it all together, thought I'd brag a lil.
Don't have dyno numbers yet, but those are coming as are track times.

Yeah its an LT1 so kill me...my car is still fasterer due to the LS6
Congrats Eric, we'll get it running 11's in no time.
J

solo, my bro hardly smiles cuz of his car, but he was tonight. This build up has him stressed out big time

sscam68 Sup frank Yep boost for both of us....should have gone N2O....but i'm getting side tracked This thing MOVES for the 6psi that showed up on the gauge. You definately have to check it out, sounds awesome and the T-TRIM is fu@K LOUD Can't sneak up on anyone with that thing.

Hope he see's this post and chimes in with some details...my memory is a no go these days.

Get off it kid, it was a fun poke at my bro. To think a 396 LT1 with a T-trim pushing any amount of boost is slow is pretty rediculous right? This car will be respected at the track no doubt, it has earned it from me already. Will it be faster than my car, we will see.

Oh yeah back on topic, you either like it or you don't, if you don't have jack to say, stay outta my thread.

That intake looks like it has a color tint to it, close to the color of the trottle body plate.

Is that painted or is it a light illusion?

(and tell him dont forget the valve cover bolts! j/k!)

SDCE, Hi Wendy and advice you can shoot our way on this Vortech LT1 kit would be great. PM me if you and Scott have any help to provide The belt slip follows me

Charlie, Thanks man. Boost brothers is pretty I'm hoping it all works out for him. Man he's slaved on this thing for awhile.

Kyle, no joke the lil kid always talks trash. I've never understood the whole LT1 against the LS1 thing, we race together against the stangs over here. FWIW i've owned both, a 93 Z28 A4, and my 98 Formula A4.

ONYOURLS1: Things would be different between me and you if you:
1) Paid attention to the topic at hand, instead of trying to bring attention to yourself like you always do, this post isn't about you.
2) Welcomed my bro into the FI LS1tech world. Seeing how you two have LT1's in common. A comment like damn nice LT1, I have one too.
Had you done this, you would have gotten your relaxed response.
See you in the rear view.

GrahamHill, You have very good eyes. The intake was painted pontiac engine blue while it was torn down. Were Poncho fans here and he wanted to continue the theme to his LT1. Spotted those VC bolts huh We had the valvecovers off to check the headstuds....they are leaking coolant...seems to be a big issue with LT1's after a build up. He's working on that lil problem now.

Tiago, thanks and yep that thing will heat up damn quick. I'm for one glad that its only seeing 6psi right now. Any higher and it would be detonation city under that heat soaked hood. Thats one thing I hated about my LT1, ran damn hot all the time. The FMIC will be done next month hopefully....$$ being the main thing right now.

Dammit Eric, where are you I swear he exists

Hey everyone thanks for the positive comments about my ride! I've been working on this project for a long time now. It's nice to have it up and running. Hopefully, I'll get the boost thing straightened out soon enough. Im running a stock clutch and think maybe that has something to do with it along with some belt slip. Need to get me a Spec stage 3 or equivilant.

Yeah, wanted to keep the Pontiac theme going with engine paint. Thought it would look pretty cool. From what you can see anyways.

Its a 396 with all forged internals. Racemaster crank, callies splayed 4 bolt mains, eagle rods, custom JE blower pistons, CC X/E 224/236 blower grind cam, 987 valve springs, crane s/a 1.6 rocker arms, stock ported heads (for now) 52 mm tb, Madz28 tuning, canton oil pan, melling HV oil pump, E/D timing set, mac headers (for now, looking for some hookers) 3.42's stock 10 bolt (again for now) etc, etc........

The wheels are 17x9.5 budniks

I hope to get an intercooler here real soon. I know my brother will help me a lot with this project. Thanks bro!

Hey yeah, that boost bro's sounds pretty cool.

Hey SDCE thanks for putting the help out. I may need you. You came through for my brothers ride.

Again, thanks everyone for the positive comments.

That's a sweet car, and I rarely see 93-97 Formula's that I like.

And Boost Bros: yeah, Formula's rule.
