Default STS turbo question

Anyone know what kind of oil pump STS is using for the return line. I would like to know these things before I look into buying a kit. Do they offer replacements pump should one go out or are they rebuildable? Thanks for any and all input. Cheers !!!

This seems to be a highly gaurded secret. I know they went through a lot of R&D to develop it (the oiling system) so I guess it is understandable that they dont want to give away the "how it works part". I dont believe the pump itself is anything special although I believe they do have them made especially for them to their specifications..

But like Jammer said I doubt you would ever have to worry about STS standing behind their stuff and making whatever you need available..

They use the gear operated oil sump pump from EngineGear Online. There is
a similar one sold by a company called REVERSO GEAR PUMPS. The best one
you can find is sold by a company called Mocal, and it is air cooled for longevity! Put these names in a search engine, and you can find pictures and
specs for these 12 volt operated pumps. The pumps are not really a "secret"
because they are sold to the public all the time! I am using the Engine Gear
pump. They all are sold for about $200.00

Ok so maybe "secret" was the wrong word but.... If you were to call and ask this info they will not give it to you, and I must say I dont blame them... I appreciate the above info myself..
I am going to guess you have a rear mount turbo system yourself, that you fabricated?

Anyhow it wasnt my post but I thank you for the info... I searched long and hard when I created mine and never cam accross the pumps you listed.. I wound up using a Weldon 9200 on mine...

If you fabricated yours and again I am only guessing you did, if you dont mind me asking did you use a pressure switch and 2-stage voltage or just a engine on - pump on?

Having done it, and having "A LOT" of resources this is my opinion:
There is alot to be said about the STS Package, for the money you cant beat what they offer even trying to build your own..

Thanks again!

I have the STS system and when I needed parts swaped or replaced they sent them out ASAP! Never gave me any problems at all! Very good service after the sale! I always talk to Rick when I call!

Default Custom remote mount V6

Yes, I made one to fit the V6 Firebird. It was modeled after the Ls1 kit. I have some tuning to take care of, but the performance is pretty good although it does not push the same volume of exhaust and air the V8 can.
No dyno yet. I used engine on with a switched relay and pump on. The
Enginegear pump is so loud that if it failed you would know pretty quick. I
have setup a pressure switch connected to a dpdt relay but have not run the
wires to my dash where the piezo alarm is. Pretty cool setup. You can build
your own with "generic" materials and turbos for about $1500 or less.

has anyone had any problems with clearnance or possible system damage due to debri or water from regular street driving.

My ride is lowered and i would love to install this kit, match it up to my CME and be done with it!!!!! all i need is about 10lbs...for now HEHEHE!!! (of course after some other steps have been addressed first)

So, has anyone experienced anything negative from the rear mounted turbo?
