Bypass Question!
Bypass Question! Hey Im currently running the stock ati bypass valve and I have just a quick question. I was wondering if I removed the tubing after the bypass vave in the picture and blocked off the hole going to my air intake if it would be like the race ati bypass. I just want a differnt sound when I come off of the boost. In all logic I would think that the stock bypass would be venting into the atmosphere. I want a kinda like blowoff sound but I hear that the blow off's can hurt the bearings on a supercharger. Let me hear everyone's opnions on this.

i have ran mine like that whenever i take the inlet hat off of the blower. but as far as a blowoff valve sound it really is not that loud. you can hear it but not really. just get a vortech mondo.
Alright thanks for both of the posts. I just wanted the sound to be louder when I come off the boost at high rpms. I dont really wanna spen alot more on a Bypass because im only running 8 psi. I just wanted to make sure that running the stock bypass venting into the atmosphere would be a alright idea. Thanks alot.
EDIT: Does anyone know where to get like a 2.5 vaccum cap or any ideas how to block off the bypass valve inlet on the air intake? Gonna need something big to cover the hole.

Thanks for the info. I got the plug and everything waiting for the opti and we will see how loud she is. If it doesnt fit my taste I guess Ill have to order a vortec mondo!
