Well this is gonna be for race purposes and some cruising. I have another car, so its not a daily driver. And the CATS are coming off the second I decide what to do with the car. So I am not worried about the smog part of it. Im also not very concerned with breaking parts, if I break it, then ill be forced to replace it with something better sooner. I am trying to get an FI(cause all my friends have NA)car that runs pretty good at the track and kicks *** on the street. And I am doing full suspension, lowering it, already have Nittos, but will get 18's and BFG's. Rearend will also be bought. Just need to choose what im gonna do. If its a turbo, i want a 3.73 rear and if i end up H/C then i need to get 4.10. Thats why i am trying to find out the info.

Where in Ca. are you from anyway??

I'd take you for a test ride if local but I'm in the middle of a rebuilt/upgrade.

Here's my fav. run for fun factor...

8psi launch with a crummy 2.0 60' then the intake pipe blows off.

Here is a lil better full run

Close enough. My truck is actually at Synergy Motorsports getting the works. They are located in Fremont and are the local STS dealer. Ya might wanna check them out. # is in sig or off to the right as a Sponsor >>>

I don't have the typical STS kit though. I upgraded the turbo and added a big FMIC. I'll be swapping out to a better boost controller and pushing alot more HP than a stock motor can handle. I'm thinking in the almost 700rwhp range.

Here is a peak at a kit he installed last week on a clean GMC truck.

Rick has a GT70 STS kit on his Firehawk and has done a few other F-bods rollin around the Bay Area. He's got the tuning down which is the hardest part of a trubo kit IMO. Plus he makes a custom FMIC setup for the F-body.

Yes, just fab another pipe. It's no big deal. Rick also has a plate setup to help eliminate water from getting to the filter also. Pretty much any problem you could have with the kit he has a fix for.

And all the claims from JL are just that you'll gain a second on the quater. If i get this kit and only gain a second with over 450rwhp, i would be very, very upset. But if they are talking about a 1 second gain on a bone stock car, no suspension, tires, or other mods, then thats not too bad. But i still need some numbers.
Ask yourself this, what does an 03 cobra trap with 450rwhp??? 117-118mph on average. The GTO weighs a little more than the cobra, it was an auto, not a manual and with 450rwhp it ran just as good as a cobra with the same power levels. Everyone rants and raves about how flat the torque is for an eaton charger, and that the sts is peaky, well the sts 450rwhp GTO can put up numbers. The STS is a cool alternative to supercharging.

If its a turbo, you will want lower gears more like 3.42's or lower. This will help push you through the gears longer plus take advantage of the torque you will make. Also, you will boost faster.
