Default dynoed 505 on 6psi pulley!

my buddy's 355 lt1 car with 227/239 and ported heads dynoed 505rwhp on a 6psi pulley the other day... hes ordering intercoolers and a 12 psi pulley now... hoping to do 600rwhp.. this happened at C.A.M. motorsports if anyone wonders up around raliegh NC. well we took it out for a drive.. and the mother ****** pulls hard.... would absolutely kill my bolton ls1 150 shot car!

so now i need to what? change pistons, rods, cam, and add a vortech blower right??? lol tell me what i should do to keep up with this guy..

if i forge up my bottom end and change compression like he did can i run 12psi too?

by the way his lt1 has a 12 bolt spool... so it shoudl run good at the track.

boost guage doens't really budge a whole lot.. hung around 5-8 id say but hell if i could see.. i know its a vortech and its not even the nicer version.. so hes definetly getting some good #'s for what hes got.. now, awnser my question, how do i beat this guy.. the nitrous isn't even going to make it close is it?

I think you are under estimating your nitrous car maybe? It should be a good race on the gas. As the nitrous guys say PILL TO KILL LOL! Ifyou want to beat him just up your shot. And be safe with the fuel and timming etc...

600rwhp with a built 355 LT1 and intercooled is no problem.

Hey bro,

Those are some good numbers for an LT-1.....I am gonna have to agree w/ Inspector12 that you are underestimating the gas. Not sure where you are at, but you should be close to 350 rwhp? With a nice 150 NX wet shot, you should match or beat his torque numbers and be pretty close to the hp as well....it will come down to the driver.

Jeff is a pretty knowledgeable guy and have been there for my tunes as well.... What part of S.C. are you guys from ..... I'm here in Columbia, SC for the next 3 weeks, would love to see the blown LT1.
