PWM Boost Valve
Thanks,
P.S. I do know the Buick Grand Nationals had them stock.. But I believe I will need a bigger 1...
my e-boost has one allready.. dont know if i will get rid of the e boost and use the bs3 function or not but you could see what turbosmart wants for theirs.
in reply to the first post.. i dont know that there is a size range for these valves.. one that fits a 1/8" npt hose barb should work for any bost application
Mighty Mouse are you using all aftermarket gauges or did you "piggy back" to the factory gauges? Cant see the real benifit of giving up your e-boost after looking hard at the software, but im not up and running yet, should know more by this time next week.. How long have you been running BS3?
Kyle: From what I can tell it will work like a E boost controller would, but from your laptop.. Are you going to aftermarket gauges on yours? How long are you going to be down with the new retrofit? Understand your getting pretty wild this time around..
i have a separate coolant temp sensor for that, everything else as far as instrumentation was left the way it is and is functional WITH THE FACTORY PCM IN THE CAR STILL
if you share the signal of the crank sensor, your stock tach ''should'' work to but i have not tried this on my bs3 to confirm yet.
When do you plan to install yours?
I ordered a couple of Grand National Boost "regulators" they are cheap from GM so we will se how they work out..
Did you figure out how the Knock sensors work out? I didnt think it would have Knock Sensor capability, but noticed in the software it had parameters for it, however the wiring loom doesnt.. Any Ideas there?
Thanks

I am going all aftermarket gauges.
Autometer 5" tach up top near my A-pillar
Autometer 5" Speedo in dash
Autometer 2 5/8" Oil pressure
Autometer 2 5/8" Engine Temp
Autometer 2 5/8" Fuel level
Autometer 2 5/8" Voltage
All 5 of those gauges will be in the dash and my 2 5/8 boost and EGT will be in my center A/C Vents.......
All out this time.... T-88, swapping to a 6 speed becaus ei drive it to much and BS3 to control the 800rwhp we are shooting for.
If ya can can you PM me a article if there is any on how this works???
Thanks
Kyle

The dash i am going to do will look a little like this....

I havent decided yet if the Tach will go in like that or stay up top.... but all the other gauges will go in there....... i might do some Fiberglassing if i feel froggy then texture it and paint it the same color as the car.......
Kyle

You can still buy the Grand National solenoids for $16 new. Since your just bleeding the boost signal to atmosphere you really don't want a large valve. Of course this is going to make the spool a little slugish.
