Best Engine Setup for Turbo...
I'm definitely getting a new bottom end (burning oil, etc...), probably Lingenfelter's forged 346 shortblock. For lots of power (and fun), should I go with:
AFR heads, and a max-effort cam, which will probably mean keeping an eye on the springs, and less then mannerly behavior for daily driving, but mean *** idle.
OR
Keep stock heads, switch to a turbo cam, bigger injectors, and go with an STS setup, which means a less conventional method, but better street manners, only slighly more $$$ and room to grow...
Is keeping stock heads a dumb idea? I hate to put stock heads back on a new bottom end, but if I am getting heads, I really want to go with AFR or something similiar for quality reasons. And new heads and a turbo are beyond my budget right now.
Any insight?
Thanks!

NA is safer as well, which is always easier on the ole' pocketbook!
If money becomes no object take the FI drug and lookout because you will be addicted to a good/bad habit!
Lets just say you get the short block that 3k
then you get the system 4k
fuel system 600-1k
Then you are going to need some drive train parts. Clutch/ maby a tranny if you 3/4 sift fork takes a dump. Drive shaft, and a rear end. That could be another 4k. It aint cheap to go fast. Grand total $12,000
