Default Bumper cover cutting?

All the pics I have seen of the front mounts on a f-body have the bottom of the bumper cover cut off. I really dont want to cut up my bumper cover that I just paid $450 for from the dealer. Is it possible to mount it so the bottom flap can still be bolted up? Thanks

I never cut mine off. Just use the three holes and zip tie it to the lower bracket on the IC. Should work.

Hmmm cool as long as there wasnt a real good reason people were cutting them, like air flow or something. Thanks

If your going to use a griffen, your going to need to either angle it so it will fit or cut the cover. Ask PSJ about angling it. I think he did that to his

I do not cut mine either. I extend the mounting tabs out 2 inches on my brackets and the nose goes on just fine.

No cutting of the bottom here either, the lower flap tied to the bottom of my FMIC support perfectly. Why would you have to cut that off? Its all about measuring things up to tuck the FMIC in there so nothing has to be cut to the extreme for it to live in there.
