I am new to this board but I will try to help, the last place you want oil to return to is the top of the cylinder head aka the valve cover, I have built over 10 boosted combos, I still can't believe STS returns the oil where the do. If the pan has a fitting for oil return USE it, if not use a punch and do it the Vortech way. I hope this helps even though I don't own an bowtie, I have supercharged quite a few of them.

Why would this be an issue? With the cast aluminum pan their is no way to just punch a hole. I would think with correct placement it would be fine. Such as putting the hole close to the drain.
