well you could just call up candy and ask her what she ordered for ya. i know that allan ordered 3 griffin FMICs. one being mine....i bet another is for you.

even "covered up" i dont see a problem with enough air getting in there. full out race cars dont have openings. also like others said too much of a hole and you have major aerodynamic issues.

you arent going to daily drive this car are you???

Ark, we did just finish a fmic on my sons LT1 and its great. I put a couple of pics on the site, but will get some more. We are going to let Christian, the designer and owner of Firebirdevolution.net do something with the LT1 bumper for us. It should be similar, but a obviously a little smaller openings.
If it turns out good, he may market it also.
People talk about doing this fmic kit for 400 - 500. More power to you. If you use t-bolt clamps, good silicone, polished mandrel aluminum, etc, it gets expensive for something that is quality.

full out race cars usaully have air to water IC, so no opening required

why hasnt anyone thought of a rear mount intercooler yet?

If you open up the front end it is a good idea to get rid of the cowl weather stripping under the hood to flow some more air. The opening is just another reason why Camaro > TA
