Boost Guages... mechanical or electrical?
Boost Guages... mechanical or electrical? Which did you go with? Pros - Cons?
A post on another board I visit has got me thinking.. I bought a electrical Cobalt Autometer boost guage for my car and Im wondering if I should save some cash and return it for a mechanical. Havent used it yet.

Any other opinions on this? I also just realized that the Cobalt doesnt have a warning light or recall... that kinda sucks. Must be cause they use LED lighting on the Cobalts.

Well I have the electric Phantom boost/vac gauge. I like it because it has a red light indicator that you can set wherever you want. It also has a highest boost recall. Also, with the electric, the install is a little easier. You don't have to worry about getting a kink in the vacuum line.

Verdad Gallardo I guess that both will read boost accuratly, but you need to choose based on what you want and what you want to pay. Obviously the electric gauge will be a little easier to install and you get that cool warning light and the max boost recall, but the downside is the price. I will be going with electrical based on this.
