headers with turbocharger?

headers with turbocharger? I'm tryin to figure out if you get better gains running LTs or not with turbo systems? I think I read that with STS its better to run the stock manifolds? Does this apply to all systems or just STS because of the rear mounting?

On a front mount kit you can't simply run "headers" . Half of a front mount kit is the special manifolds that mate up to the turbo so your question really isn't applicable to those types of systems if I read your question right.

I didn't even think about that kit being pretty much a slap on deal and go. You're right in that @ somepoint you would be to big and not have any distinct advantage in that due to the heat loss, even though you'd be "flowing" more. But I guess that comes back to our laws of theromdynamics in that faster gas has more heat so yeah, there is a fine line between how much you can flow and the energy needed to spool the turbo that far down the line. Guess that's what happens when you've got a cold, on meds, and tired.
