Default Intake and fuel reccomendations

I have been out of the game for awhile, trying to catch up. I have an ARE 360 with a T-trim. No idea what power it will make, I don't care as long as it runs well with a good tune.

For an intake, I was looking at a 78mm Fast setup. I would think 90 would be too much...or would it?

For fuel, I have an in-tank walbro 340 and 50lb. injectors. Everything else is stock. Should I go to better fuel rails and lines/pump?

I have searched, didn't get any solid ideas for what to do.

Thanks!

I don't know that a intake will help you too much, I'd spend that extra money on the fuel system first.

I agree with Boostaholic on this. Don't think the gain will be wortht the money with the fast intake. Just use a stock LS1 or LS6.

I heard the Fast intake hurt FI power over the LS6 intake?

But I would worry about the fuel system. the injectors you can change when they max out on the dyno. But I would do a dual pump setup and call it a day.

I'd use the LS6 Intake instead.
If you keep your bottom end power your should rev into boost faster. The SC will make as much top end power as you'll ever need.

Dual Pumps, 60# Injectors, FPR.

LS6 intake is the way to go. It doesn't have an advantage over the FAST, but with the money you save, you might be able to do something else. I think the FAST might reduce your boost a little, but not enough to warrent buying it for a system like yours. Now if you had twin 60-1's then it might be more worth looking into.

John I am making 752rwhp thru the LS6 and a stock ported TB. I'd upgrade to 60 lb injectors and look at augmenting your fuel pump.

What about the LS2.... everybody is saying that it is hurting velocity because of its size but if you stuff air in it then it should work just fine...

I was going to go with the LS2, but then i found out that the Billit aftermarket fuel rails i have wont work...... the peice is nice on the Intake itself but the 90MM TB's are still way high...... so ill just stick with a LS6. or a LS1...

Why does the fast intake lose power? doesn't seal correctly, runners too hogged out? Just curious. I was wondering with 3 pieces going together how well they would seal. Probably good in a vacuum, not so good under boost, I would assume.

I could probably get the 60# injectors and maybe an inline pump, Are the stock fuel lines sufficient? Does anyone make a high flow fuel filter that fits the stock system?

Things to ponder........

I'm concerned with sealing issues with a 3 piece intake.

i'd beef up the fuel system first, so you can support the power.

Do the fuel system. Leave the intake alone. We were making over 1400hp with a LS6 and ported tb. Will be using the same thing on my CE which should be close to 1100hp.

FWIW. Duke was running a FAST on the coupe with the first setup. Don't think they had any sealing issues with it.
