Default Congrats to...

Hardcore Motorsports for making the pages of Popular HotRodding with their shot heard round the world 7 second pass. Got the mag yesterday and saw that in there. Props and way to push the perf. envelope for the LSX Technology.

It was just a short blurb. Like a "roddin' @ random" in the columns section. Go read it @ the local Barns and Nobles, don't buy it for that article, less you find something else in it you like .

I was hoping for more of a full feature story on the car showing lots of pictures and talking about its design.

Maybe HotRod will have an article on it in the future, but I doubt PHR will, they have gone to being a "pro touring" kinda mag, which is ok, that's why I get HotRod too. So...what Hardcore shop is in VA that Gary and them had the open date @ VMP??

He'll have to run in the "Back Half-Kinda-Like-a-Street car" class at the EFI nationals! LOL. Again, cool car. Now that he has a 4 link, he and I can race.

I assume that a 4 link type setup is but one of the mods.

I'm just cuirous what the "hang up" is with a 4 link? So what...the car's been back halfed. Does that mean that it doesn't qualify as a street car? In my book no. If you can drive it on the street, get it tagged, then it's a street car in my book. Perhaps you guys should meet Andy Jensen (Jensen's Engine Technologies) Nescopeck, PA. Ask him what a "street car" is

The answer is easy..Class rules.."Stock suspension mounting points"
Guys like Harlan,Ohio boys and the rest are running within those rules.
And, Not to mention the C5R motor package vs base ls1/ls6.

So technically, you could still back half a car and have the mounting points in the "stock location" and be within the rules? Or do they disallow that? Honestly...there are pleanty of Gen IIs running into the 6s in pure race cars, so define "first to the 7s" ya know? I see your point. It's still props though for using the technology to go that fast. Qualify it how you want, they still deserve credit IMO. FWI the first person into the 7s on stock suspension will get props too, @ least in my book.

a bit of clarification for you guys.
the black T-topped TA that ran the seven second pass was using stock style suspension.
the "blue voodo" convertable TA is the one backhalved.

least thats what i gathered from the threads. i could be wrong.
