Default Turbo or Blower

Specs:
rebuilt L98 350 bored .30 over = 355ci
10.25:1 compression
flat top keith black pistons
Scat 6" rods
Scat crank
Trick Flow 23 degree heads
Comp Cams XE284 cam and lifters
Summit 'Black' aluminum roller rockers
Miloden Diamond Stripper windage tray
v-belt
4:10 gears
turbo rx7 POSI rear end
Fuel pump is the stock rx-7 pump with the pressure bled off

Jeep manifolds (Ill do headers before i do anything)

Here's the deal. I know that a blower for carb. would be probably cheaper than a turbo, but i didnt really want it to stick out of the hood..i guess that's the only minus to that.
About turbos..is it hard to turbocharge carburated motor? Would probably cost more than the blower, but will there be more power?

Also would i have to lower the compression ratio with forced induction?
Someone point me where i need to go, I want my car a lil quicker
Thanks.

you aren't wanting to put forced induction (except nitrous) on a car with 10.25:1 compression...you need to go to about 8.5 or 9:1...

You can do blow through carb with a turbo just like blow through carb and a centrifugal blower (vortec, ati, powerdyne, ect). I'd definately drop the compression on the engine and that's a pretty agressive cam so, yeah, definately want to drop the compression some, especially since this more than likely won't be computer controled correct? The Thing with compression is, a lower static compression allows you to run more boost and you can make more power on more boost then with a higher static compression. I forget where the article is but check the sticky's at the top of the forum.

yeah its like with 9:1 i'd have probably 15 less hp..but could probably run few more lbs of boost which would make way more than 15 hp more., yes?

No, not computer controlled ...its old school

I've never heard of turbo blowing thru carb, but im also new.. I'm gonna do some learning on that..anyone got a turbo with carb?

most important q. How do u lower comp. ratio?
