Both pulls were at 24psi. The 76GTS was done...it was actually dropping boost on the top end. It was leveling off at 21psi or so. The PTE88 can still climb. My customer is swapping out head bolts for studs and going to try 27-28psi....don't know if the block will take it though. The car was beginning to lift the heads some on the 24psi run, thanks to him using bolts instead of studs. But with that solved, I'm not sure the bottom end won't start walking around.

You know what would be cool? If you put a tool box in the bed of the truck and put a large Air/Water intercooler w/ integrated tank in the box. Then run the hot/cold pipes under the truck and as out of the way as possible. Stealth..and you could run one hell of an intercooler.

Go with the PTE-88 and alky injection, that way the turbo won't be holding you back and the alky can cool the charge to make up for the intercooler. That would also be alot cheaper than the head and/or intercooler swap.

i just got off the phone with precision. i told them i have a 408 and am looking to make 1200+fwhp. he flat out told me the pte88 would be a waste of time, said the small frame exhaust housing would be a serious restriction with this many cubes.
he sugested a gt47 or a gt55 but neither of them have any provision for an air filter and they come with some monster outlet for the turbine. he said a 5" vband outlet. i wonder if that is the size of the vband or the size of the pipe it is designed to hook to, i need to find that out. the bigest downpipe i could ever fit on there would be a 4" and it would't be easy.
seems like twins might just be the answer. i could fit 2 3.5" down pipes. i wouln't even have to mess with the one header.
this is looking like more of a project than i was prepared for. i am going to just have to spray it for awhile.

are you thinking sequntial or maybe stacked twins?
on the other hand, surely you could get some hybrid job made by pte or majestic. or...what about modding the up header for a t6 flange and necking down the dp right away from 5 down to 4 or 3.5.

i could make one of those big dogs work but i might be killing it with my 3.5" exhaust. i would really like to step up to a killer set up with minimal compromises, looks like that would be hard to do with a single but with twins i could do it. no air filter and a 5" downpipe really wouldn't work well for me.

Thats strange precision gave you an answer like that, there are a few mustang guys with 400 cubes running a pte88 with good results.
with a 4" DP and a .96 AR i dont think it would be a restriction
i mean honestly you are running a T76 right now, the 88 is going to be less of a restriction.
big singles rock so much more then twins!!

A couple of 66's will do the job. I agree on the t-4 flange being a waste of time for a single. Besides you don't want to have to upgrade agian after you do it this time right? The same reason I picked twins for the s-10. I have room for two 3" downpipes but not a single 4" or 5" dp.
