Got a smokin' deal on some stock (31lb?) 8.1 injectors and would like to hear opinions on if these would be a good choice for only 6-8 lbs of boost on a STS style turbo setup in a completely stock 2003 5.3. I dont ever plan on going over this boost level so where do you think my duty cycle will fall on these? I have heard that the stock ones are maxed out with this amount of boost so I just wanted to get something that would not break the bank and work well at the same time. Also, will these just drop right in and replace my old stock ones and use the same connector and all? I know I will need to retune.

They'll probably work ok. I havn't seen anyone do it so I'm not 100% sure. Most of us get the 43lb marine 8.1L injectors. The regular 8.1L injectors will plug right in just like the 43lbers.

I'm pretty sure you will have to have you fuel tables rescaled in you pcm for the bigger injectors or it will run to rich.
