max safe TQ on a 427 TT
Anyone know what max TQ on a 427C5R with 8:1 CR would be ?
Reason i ask is my setup is kind of high TQ low down and then drops off
as my turbos are not big enough to feed it properly at higher RPM`s
max RWTQ is 1036 @3600, then makes around 700rwhp
@ 6000 RPM is is down to 665 RWTQ, making around 750 rwhp
It is a fun daily driver and really kicks your butt when you gently press down the right pedal, even from low RPM`s :-)
But someone told me i has to be on a borderline when it comes to Cylinder pressure ?
Anyone know what that limit is on regular 94 octan fuel ?
TIA
Rune
with that much power you just need schedualed matenance more.
id be looking to see if you could get a bigger AR exhaust housing if you cant upgrade the turbo size

it is for sale and it is in Norwegian
Mightymouse, it is a 4l60E FLP, level V trans.
and i live in Norway so it is not so easy to bring it to LPE :-)
Besides, everything workes very well, i dont see any knock, still manage 1036 rwtq, but was worried as someone claimed that was to high Cylinder pressure.
Smokinhawk, it is a C5R block, 8:1 CR, boost level is aprox 17 psi, but as RPM climbs turbos are not up for the full task and boost drop off to aprox 14 psi.
Thanks everyone for your hint
Rune
do you know what turbos you have, i might worry about the back pressure issues.
