Talking Back on the road!

No, it's not the car

Finally got the daily driver on the road again! It's only been a few (cough 9 cough) months.

Having a company car to use, and a racecar to work on kept my motivation levels low on the truck. But deciding to take some time on the car and refocusing efforts has the truck on the road again.

Hitting the track with it saturday at the local club day

It's kind of a mish-mash of parts but it seems strong so far.

2002 2WD Ext cab short box
347 LS1, using the block and pistons from the racecar from last season. So atleast some of the motor should be fast
crank is the stocker that came in the factory 5.3L
manley 6.125 rods, figured the GRP's can stay in the car
factory 5.3L heads from the original motor
Cam Motion 226/222 .575 115 LSA
stock truck intake

Did the 4l80 swap as well. I've been through 5 4l60's in this truck, 4 of them while NA. I was fed up.
TCI 3000 Stall

Livernois single turbo kit with the base GT37 hybrid.

I've got it running on the wastegate only right now, 5psi base pressure. Once i get a fuel pump in there i'll turn it up 8.1 marine injectors for now.

Not gonna get crazy with it, maybe 10 or 15 psi once i get the larger turbo on there.

Just a nice grocery getter

now im confused is it a 5.3 or 5.7, cause unless you have a bigger bore the 5.3 crank will make it about a 5.3L

and show some pics of the engine set up.

also i aint scared, once i put my whislte tip on my 86 blazer its on

LOL, cranks are the same for the 5.3, 5.7, 6.0

it's a 5.7, LS6 block and JE pistons from the car, 3.910" bore, 3.622 stroke.

That's a lot of carrying capacity for just beer and smokes at the store.
The beer won't get warm though.

Who washed the truck, or is that photo from last year?
