Water under the bridge fellas....water under the bridge

I think ddnspider just bought a kit too, which is great. Glad he decided to go the phamspeed route too.

Ed, Post a ton of pics...you gotta do it, everyone likes showing off the cool parts....turbo kit pics are well worth the bandwidth.

I would have the heads CCed. That will allow you to calculate it and not guess. I think 5.3 is going to be to much compression. You can go up alittle on the gasket thickness though too.

Be careful on re-machining the pistons, make sure you find a company to do so that has the knowledge to check all the thicknesses before they start cutting. If the piston was a f/t to start off with, I do not recommend cutting a dish in them. They where engineering to be a f/t( all thicknesses are adjusted to be a f/t) not a dish!!! Just food for thought before you go cutting into the pistons.

Ok well you I suppose work for diamond and would basically be an expert. I have a set of Diamond pistons, they are the -8.6cc I was wondering if they could have the rest of the top dished out?
Thanks

IMHO I would think dishing the pistons would greatly affect the integrity of the piston which I dont think would be wise, the best solution would be reworking the heads with a larger chamber. like I said thats my opinion.
