Default Just ordered my Phamspeed Kit.

Hi all,
I know there was just one of these eairler in the week, but I figured that Id go ahead and post as well. I ordered their budge turbo kit, with a T-76GTS.

Going to use a set of shortie headers, instead of the stock manifolds, as I dont think they'll melt, and will flow better than the stock manifolds.

With this turbo and the kit, I feel that I should be able to make some serious power through the kit, only thing that Im worried about is the ground clearance, as my car is lowered with 15" wheels. Its pretty low.

Car is going to have a built up short block,
-treated stock crank
-eagle rods
-Diamond Pistons
-either a zo6 cam, or a 6.0 cam
-AS 5.3 heads that flow over 312 CFM

Have a fuel system already except for injectors.

why limit yourself to a stock zo6 or 6.0 cam when this is the perfect time to upgrade to a more boost friendly cam

Im not sure I have -8.6cc dished pistons, with the 5.3's so im guessing its going to be around 9.5:1.

I am talking to a local engine builder, about finishing out the dishing on the pistons, as right now there only about half way dished, so I figured I might have they machine out the rest to lower the comp back down.

I am interested to see the numbers Dyneta puts out, its going to take me some time to get mine together, im really busy with school and work right now, but itll happen one weekend at a time slowly.

i think either of those cams will actually be pretty good boost cams, I can get a boost cam, but they are not making that much more power

And I already have the 6.0 cam, and a lead on the zo6 for cheap, dont see a reason to spend the cash if I dont have to, thats why I bought the budget kit

A -8cc dish is more like a revers dome piston. You might want to throw a truck head on that short.

sr71bbjr-I am throwing on truck heads, just the wrong ones lol The pistons are flat tops that were machined out, not cast the way they are.

forcefed- yeah they are selling alot of em, should be good kits in the end, I just hope they dont cut their own throats offering this kit instead of the kit you have

I think your cr will be more than 9.5 with the 5.3 heads I think with a 5.7 head you see 9.5cr, but im not totally sure on the 5.3 chamber size if I was in your shoes I would deffinately go with 6.0 heads.

hm
the pistons were supposed to be right at 9.2:1 ish with stock heads and gaskets so I was just guessing.I dont totally know the chamber size on the 5.3's since I already have the heads im more likely to work on th epistons than I am change heads, too expensive to try to swap at this juncture.

if your worried about ground clearance why dont you have them use some oval pipe in those areas. costs more but that extra inch or two could make or break the setup on a lowered car.
