what are the differences of 98-02 exhaust manifolds?

Im about to bolt on a set of 01s on my 99 car. I was expecting it to just drop in without any mods, I hope so.....

the flange might be different where it hooks up to the y/turbo pipe

the flanges are the same, so as long as they are in the same location??? We'll see...

I have both a set of 98 and 01 manifolds at the house right now. I'll look at them both tonight and see if the flange that meets the y-pipe looks to be in a different location.

For F-body manifolds, here is a break down as I know it.

98-99 Same tubular log type design
00 Cast manifold with EGR
01-02 Cast manifold, no EGR

All 3 sets have different driver side AIR fittings too. I know about the driver side fitting as we ran in to some issues when doing my headers.

I had an 01 SS and my buddy had a 00 Z28. My AIR fitting did not fit my headers but his did (Angle was off at the bottom flange where it meets the manifold. Basically one the bolt pattern was front to back and the other was side to side).

I think he also mentioned he had to use a 98-99 AIR to get his FLP's to fit. That's why he had his stock 00 one laying around.
