Default STS tunes please?? using HPTuner

hey everyone, I just ordered my HPTuner over the weekend. I am installing the STS remote turbo so this is the reason I went with the HPTuner. Please if anyone out there has a STS system and has a good tune please please please share ??? Im going with the basic 5psi , 60-1 setup and I am bone stock 2001 Z28 M6 ( well bone stock spet for the sportline suspension and the pollished Z06 wheels chromemolly pandhard and 3 point shock tower brace ). Thanks for your replys and happy motoring.

nope. sure dont. no need from what I gather unless I up the boost at which time I will rather upgrade the injectors and tune away.

come on noone ?? wth. Nelson performance wants 250.00 for a damn .bin file . shoot when I get my HPTuner I will be helping anyone who is interested get their **** tuned. I cant even get a reply ?? hmmm.

I don't know because I'm just about to cross that bridge myself.

I have heard that with higher boost levels folks are running around 15 degrees of timing advance. And that with lower levels they're getting by with 20 degrees.
So that's a start.

As far as changes for a/f ratio - don't know about that. I'm running heads and cam already, and am going to 60lb/hr injectors, with a vacuum referenced fpr, so my fueling won't be any help for you. I do know you need to go richer, and you can set that up by tweaking the PE numbers at the upper end of the scale.

Mine actually peaks at 16 degrees of timing but I will be running 8psi with meth. I'm going to be using the speed density software now though.

Ive had a hard time finding .bin files as well. You may need to get on a dyno. Thats only around $60. You then use your PE vs RPM table to dial in AF. I would start at 13* and see if you can add a little more.

thanks for the advice guys the more I hear and read the more I am learning and I pick things up quickly I think I will be able to get it pretty close then go in and dyno to fine tune using their wideband. again I appreciate the help.

Guy, the problem you'll face is that most of us have tunes for higher boost + meth, etc.

My advice is to start out very conservative and take your time. Start out really low on the timing, like 10* max for the boost range, and work your way up. You might want to do a good MAFless tune prior to putting on the STS kit.
