Question What single turbo will make 800+rwhp? Still thinking about throwing away the bottle

Well my set up has taken almost 2 years
so now I dont really care if it takes even longer. I talked to a sponsor and the AFR 225cc CNC ported heads with the larger chambers to bring my compression down to around 9.5:1 approx for a turbo. Right now with my -6cc dish pistons and 64cc LS6 heads I'm at 11.1
I could sell my cam, headers, heads and this damn bottle lol

So if I did go with a turbo is it possible to run a single turbo to make the power I want? If so what turbo would work for me and how much boost would it take? I dont want to run alky just pump gas for cruising and throw the race gas in for racing/more boost. I have everything forged, arp studed and o ringed. Would a T88 get me there? I was looking at http://www.phamspeed.com/ls1.html
I gapped my rings at .022, .022 is this ok for a turbo dont know if it matters?
Maybe theres more to it that I dont know about? Let me know your thoughts and what would you do

TIA

Read some threads...especially about phamspeed...then come back and read some more.

but to answer some questions, a T88 with get you 800rw and then some, don't know about ring gap. Buy a PTK kit with a PTK 88 or 76GTS.

its a turbo-tech race kit with a griffen FMIC, Innovative turbo and something like an Indy gate copy. Speed Inc sells them complete under the Eliminator name. Sweet set up.

I would not run anything smaller than a PT88 on a 410" motor, a bigger TV-frame turbo would be preferred but you probably dont have the space.

Yeah, I am looking @ innovative's site right now. Turbo tech have a site? I'm guessing no AC with that kit (I know I know, "do you want to make power or stay cool, "). I'm looking to make the most power for the bucks @ this point and I may want to keep air. I definately don't want to run under the k-memeber...(not a knock on the people doing this, just not realistic for some of the roads in my area, especially for the roads I drive to work). Will Speed Inc work with you to add/delete the parts you want or need or is it take it and go? Considering that something like BS3 will do the work of the Innovative EBC, no need for that IMO and there's definately no need to buy two parts that do the same thing or later sell one (which you'll never recoup you're ***** purchase price).

www.turbotechnologyinc.com (race kit)...this is the straight kit w/ your choice of turbo and an A/W cooler

www.speedinc.com (eliminator)...they will work with you on parts and stuff...they kick ***. Its an A/A cooler.

Yes you lose A/C. PTK is your best bet if you want A/C. Super high quality, competitive price, A/A or A/W cooler, any turbo you want.

I don't know if BS3 will do EVERYTHING the Innovative BC will do (like hold different boost levels and ramp rates for each gear, etc.), but like I said...they'll work with you I'm sure.

Yeah, I finally put 2+2 together. Near as I can gather from the LS1 manual listed on the BS3 website...you can use it to control boost in a single boost (one setting in all gears/conditions), stepped (different settings per gear, per se), or progressive (varies with time, rpm, or mph). I do not know if you need an EBC such as an e-boost or Apexi, ect, to interface it. I haven't looked into that to tell ya the truth. Thanks Ryan.

Im going with a PTE-88 and my goal is 800rwhp.... this will be on race gas of course and for tack use. It will have a lower boost setting for pump 93 and street use. Ill be using BS3 also.

If I'm thinking right, you just need some kind of "switch" to switch settings. It could be an actual switch, maybe a temperature switch, could be any kind of input. If it was me, I'd just have a 2-3 bar set up with a manual **** and a good boost guage. Turn and go.

SStroked 410 - Phamspeed currently doesn't produce their manifold kit, they stopped making it unless you placed your order about a week ago. They are only going to offer their budget kit now, which uses stock manifolds. A 410 on stock ls1 manifolds...you get the idea. I know this news saddened me as well, I was lookin to get the manifold kit. So now you can go custom, PTK, STS, TTi, or Speed Inc. I think those are the kits that are out now.
