well, I was originally going to keep it (put it back in), but now I'm not sure it it will fit due to the oil drain being in the way of the A/C compressor belt. We'll see in a week or so when I attempt to put it back on.

I did run everything under the k-member. I ended up having to lift the entire exhaust piece up because I was scraping too much. However, I've since finished that and I haven't scraped on a single thing, and this is driving around downtown Worcester, MA...NOT a friendly place for low cars!

How did you fab up the y-pipe going to the turbo? Also, how big is the turbocharger (physical dimensions)!

I'm assuming you saw the pics I posted, and having said that suffice it to say it looks considerably different now, though still the same general idea. Basically, I hacked off the flanges from the stock cat pipe, grinded all the rust off it etc, and then just went to town piecing together an exhaust. It got really frustrating to have to keep putting it on and taking it off the exhaust manifolds time and time again to keep welding things to it because the tacks are only so strong, but overall it wasn't that difficult. I'm convinced that anyone with enough patience and the right tools and materials could do exactly what I did. Believe me though, it takes time and a lot of effort and swearing!

yeah, that's what the pictures looked like. I liked the way you did it. I wanted to experiment with another y-pipe to mess around with fitments. Also considered using flex pipes. How hard was the oil pan installation too? it looks easier than doing it on an SBC (basically need to remove the engine )
