do you make them in a mid-size frame or a T6 frame, or just the smaller T4 and t3 frame?

you've never personally used header wrap, have you?

Going to try the T4 on my T88 mid-frame. I believe it will work just fine.

Yes I have, why?

Although it was on a turbo 4cyl and a Import V6.

because header wrap holds in moisture and rusts the headers out quite quickly. Some people complain that within 3 years their headers rust through from wrapping them.

but our exhausts are stainless, so in theory they should not be able to rust correct?

Heath,

If you have a stainless Ypipe and intermediate pipe wrapping with have NO bad affects whatsoever.

You have thick cast iron manifolds right?

Trying to wrap them is probably a waste of time. They retain heat extremely well.

I would definitely wrap the Ypipe, intermediate pipe and blanket the turbo.

I bet it'll make a huge difference.

Heath I bought this one for my GT42.....will it fit...who knows I figured that I'd give it a try though. I do know my turbo is tangential..hopefully

This turbo stuff is confusing to say the least.
Take a look its 69 bucks, but its on backorder right now

Im with Somkin on this one, I had one of those on my TTi kit as well, and it didnt do that much, its like a thick hollow tin foil, the blanket seems to be better as it covers everything and looks like it will hold the heat in better

I was going to get the PTK one, but i'm on the downslope of my budget right now and figured that this shield would do what I needed it to do. Keep the heat in the turbo. Where my GT42 is mounted I'm not worried about baking any wires or hoses but it is far away from the manifolds sorta...so i'd like to keep it nice and hot to spool it better. If it protects the radiator and crank pulley from some heat thats coo... Hopefully it works....70 bucks isn't that bad.....I spent 200 on the rest of the heat stuff.

if not I may go for it.
I had full length headers wrapped on a 67 Tempest DD and everything was fine, no rust.

Heat is everything when it comes to a turbo, the hotter the faster

-generalized statement, don't think too far into it.

the hotter the air the faster it spools
