? about compression

Hi,
I was wondering what do you all think, which setup will make more power?

9:1.1 on stock heads

or 9.5:1 on heads that flow well over 300cfm??

I plan to run between 12-15psi, do you think that acheivable with 9.5? or do heads really not make that much difference?

Im just wondering cause Id think the little higher compression and more flow with marginally less boost would make more, but I have run into some nay sayers, figured Id put it out to you guys to see

I would have to say the higher compression would work better as it is only half a point and that is not much diffrence, you should be able to put virtually the same boost on either combo. I have seen 15 psi on 9.5:1 with no issues other than mabe a little Meth injection st the very most.

definitely the heads that flow more will make more power. 12 lbs should be attainable. Above that really depends on your tune and how your motor reacts.

thats what I was thinking, id bet 15 psi on the motor with these heads will make more than 15 w/o and both should be easily attainable

I agree,most of our street/blower cars are built with 9.5-1 compression.We run 93 octain,AFR heads,small 220 Cams,D1's at 14lbs and make 650-700rwhp pretty safely.
