What Happens with too much boost

Some kind of overboost situation, but I'd say that it's cheap insurance from gernading a motor especially @ that end of the track. Burst pannel would probably be advisable from now on though. I guess it's possible he coulda backfired through the whole system too.


Does Moran have a URL? Last time I searched...I didn't come with anything other than articles on him. I'd like to know what happend to the quad turbo motor that everyone outlawed.

From what I have been told it was a nasty backfire that caused the damage. Kurt might have more info.

If that was the case...then the current clamps are a nice and "cheap" presure relief valve. Though I'd say he still needs a burst pannel simmilar to the floppers.

All of our aramid parts (reducers, hump hoses and couplers) are made from 4 plies of fabric. Dont worry Kyle, if you ever run 100PSI for 500 hours continuous I will give you a new set of hoses!

When these things explode at 100PSI it sounds like a stick of dynamite went off. During testing at extreme pressure, it is madatory that ear protection is used. I will try to get a picture up here next week of what a 3.50" ID hose looks like after the failure at 100PSI. It is interesting the clamps actually held tight for that long under pressure.
