Cost????? Im poor so I have to do everything myself. I bought the Coating from Caswell Plating (http://www.caswellplating.com) under the brand name of "Cerakote Chromex". Its a hundred bucks a quart but it goes quite a long way. The biggest part is labor. If the cast iron turbines arent really smoothed out it just does not look good. I also do all my own chrome plating and anodizing with chemicals I get at Caswell. Like I said.... Im poor. The ceramic sprays on (I used a touch up gun), its water based and has to be baked at 500 degrees for an hour or so to cure it. Then it can be wet sanded and polished. I realize this is getting a little off topic for the FI section, but its perfect for the turbo's. Everybody offers the same coating on their headers.

P.S. Practice first. The stuff does not come off very well even with sandblasting. It has to be ground off. It cannot be touched up because nothing sticks to it.

What if you're just going after function to keep the exhaust housing from rusting?
Good luck with you turbos, I am interested in seeing if your attention to detail will help the coating adhere any better.
Keep us posted.
