lol, that was funny.i do understand that these guys have been through the ringger b4 i even thought about FI.but stuff was also more expensive then and there werent as many option, and if you look im pretty sure they want more power than i do.ive priced out everything i need and unless im forgetting some MAJOR componets i wont get near $6k.please i would like to know if theres big stuff that im forgetting or dont have but everytime someone mentions something ive either already calculated it in,already have it, or dont need it.

I thought the owner of phamspeed posted not long ago that since his brother left that the only kit they would be making was the budget kit and now it comes as a complete kit with intercooler and charge pipe, also pipe all the way back to the cat back but he also said it is now somewhere around $3500.

im giving myself a bit of room as stated since everone thinks that its not possible, there something wrong with that, and i told you i did more than just a basic turbo kit.read what ive got listed and then reply again without making a dumb comment like that.for a basic turbo kit you CAN and i COULD havew if i didnt go with the extras like the roller rockers and valves.

"Youth and agility never beat age and ability"

No one is saying you CANNOT do this for 6k. You can but an ATI kit and be done for under 6k and almost a vortech kit for under 6.5k and be done. Will that perform to its fullest potential?

I 'feel' it is possible to do it for 6.5k, however you CAN NOT, build a car with all the supporting mods, to make the package run to its fullest potential for 6k. With that said, if you only want 460rwhp, you should be able to do that for 6k. However most looking for 460rwhp would probably looks towards STS, or heads and cam, or just stock a spray.

So when you see people warning you about setting a strict budget take heed of what they are saying, if you look the ones who are saying that are people with high post counts that have been on this board for a while, and most have had at least two (2) FI kits on their cars, and FULLY understand the total cost of forced induction.

To get the main parts you are looking for your budget is fine, like stated already; it is the little things that add up. For example rockers, valves, etc, things that you have bought and yourself have said you don’t need. Different gas, tuning, and retuning, fuel pumps, boost controller, all the little things add up. Keep in mind also unless you tune your car yourself, every time you mess with the boost you are going to have to have the tune checked, to make sure it is still within spec.

I think your taking what we are saying the wrong way. We are not trying to tell you your dumb, or that you don’t know what you’re doing, we are allowing you to be prepared when you do the totals and realize that you may have over done your budget.

Hopefully you stay within your budget; nothing would make you happier, so with any luck you will stay under budget.

I do however take personal offense to your insinuation that you are smarter than I am, and that I am making dumb statements. None of the people on this board are dumb, or stupid. You will find in life that those who think they are smarter than others usually aren’t. I would advise someone to listen twice as much as you talk, and you will become knowledgeable, not necessarily smart though.

Have a nice day
Ed

i knew i remembered you! your that guy who said my race prepped ls6 block wasnt worth what i was selling it for even though the company that did the work told me what i was selling it for was a steal, you ask me why i always make smart *** comments whenever you post, well right back at ya buddy.and as far as people making DUMB comments on the website, youve got to be kidding if you think there arent any dumb people on this forum.first you say i cant do it for my price range then you change it to i cant do it to the full potential, you think everyone who throws on a turbo kit can afford to do everything to the full potential?possible but not very likely.i thought we had made peace but i guess not,and im sorry if you feel that me calling your other post dumb wasnt fair or right.but hey, it happens, maybe i felt you shouldnt have said what you said so i replied inkind.i still dont have a real problem with you but id appreciate it if you keep all your technicalities and changing your mind to yourself.i think i will stay on budget and if im proven wrong ill apoligize, but until then give me a break and lay off it.

Contrary to your belief Ive barried the hatchet, I honestly have nothing against you.

in the for sale post, you were asking like 1k for a bare block, what did you get in the end for that block?
THanks, BUDDY
