Is the radiator support from BMR or where. Like the brushed aluminum.
Congrats!

I got the radiator shroud at Thunder. You can see it at the bottom of this page.

only been on the road once for about an hour tuning session (if that).. Part throttle is pretty darned good, it drives great. The only part left to tune there is hot idle - it'll stumble and eventually stall if left to idle in gear for more than ~30 seconds. We've only gone up to ~5psi boost so far, we need to get the car aligned so its safe to go faster

The MegaSquirt is friggin easy to tune -- real time tuning is the **** I just wish we could tune the spark in real time as well. I'm going to give the EFILive bi-directional control override for spark a try and see how well that works. I was using it to lock the car in 3rd gear with the converter locked up, it made it very easy to hold the car in a certain spot on the VE table.

I've been working in the DSM world on direct coilpack control. I've gotten MS to control 5v ignition modules, which is the same signal needed to fire an LS1 coilpack.

The only remaining issue I need to nail down is decoding the factory sensors on the lS1, which I think is possible - I have a white paper on the LS1 sensors, and it says they put out both Pulse Code (not usable in MS yet) but also standard high/low triggering that we SHOULD be able to use in MS.

If I can get that working, which I plan on trying here in the next few weeks, then we can move ignition control into MS without having to mount an EDIS wheel.

FYI,

-scott

even if an E-dis wheel had to be mounted, it would be ok with me to be able to control both with one box. still would have to have the stock computer in place to control the guages and other stuff though wouldnt you?

Kick *** Scott, that's good news Firing the coils themselves is the easy part -- decoding the crank/cam sensors might be a challenge. Given any thought to a daughterboard with a PIC or some other easy-to-code micro to translate? Might be an easier approach.

BTW, video coming soon. We don't have enough footage yet, just some startup, idling, and backing out of the garage. More to be shot soon, don't worry
