Why are you going with the gt76? I hit 500rwhp at 5.5lb with the gt67. The gt67 should support 600 to 700 rwhp and have a much quicker spool time. By the way my kit is for sale with a front mount intercooler. Check out my post for the info.

You don't need the 76. A 67 or 70 is plenty big enough.

Whats the difference between the two turbos (67 and 76)? The 76 pushes more air, so wouldn't it make more horsepower at 8 pounds vs the 67? I am an FI newbie, so please don't flame

I just bought my kit complete with everything you mentioned minus the upgraded GT-76 kit (Mine's only the 60-1) and I also got a FMIC for only 5100$ Does your 7k include installation? All of that stuff plus installation for me is going to cost a total of roughly 6000. So...is what you're getting a good deal? Doesn't sound so good to me. Ya know, IMO.

I'm making 452 rwhp at 7 psi on a 5.3. You can use the gt67 and surpass your goal easily. It will spool up much faster too.

I think that the gt76 is going to be very laggy with the sts setup. Just my opinion though.

I rode in a 6-speed car with the exact same setup as what i should be getting, except he was intercooled instead of methanol injected. Didn't lag very much at all. Although, the GT76 is rated to 1000hp, and I don't plan on going that high anytime soon, so I might just go with the 67 or 70. A few hundred bucks saved is a few hundred bucks towards something other than the stock 4L60E or stock 10-bolt .

The 6 speed is why the car did not have lag. In an automatic you will have a lot of lag even with a stall. My gt67 has a fair amount of lag with a stall on the 5.3. Once the 5.7 goes in the lag should be reduced significantly.

Is a tune included in that price? If so, and you're getting the UEGO, that's not too bad. I'd call to see if any sponsors can beat the parts price, though.

There are a couple of complete STS kits for sale on this board right now. Both are very nice, made good power and will save you a bunch compared to a new kit. Listen to the guy's that have already posted, you don't need a T-76, just go with a 67 or 70. You'll be a lot happier with the spool, and both will easily make your 500rwhp goal!

exactly.....and that does seem a tad bit high, even for being tuned and installed.ask around and do as much research as you can b4 you make a jump like that....unless you've got $7k to drop without a wince.

I think I am going to go with a used kit. Seems like I can get a very similar setup for around 5K installed and tuned. Thanks for all the info guys!
