Default Blown Pontiac Shootout

Year one and HPP are putting on a Blown Pontiac Shootout as listed below. Pre-registration is requried to keep the show happening.

This is an incrediable opprotunity to have your car in the magazine.

I will be there running my car down the strip on 93 Octane...All 800RWHP for all you doubting Thomases. Maybe 900RWHP I am almost there still on 93 Oct.

I would hate to not have any competition.

Below is the information for the shootout. Dont be a whimp!!! Get Registered.

I posted this to the Southern Forum but wanted to extend an invitation to all of you forced induction Firebirds. I met many of you at the Southern Shootout in Louisiana and thought that this would be a good opportunity for you to let it hang out at a closed track session. The details are below, but if you have a question, contact me at 972-898-0055.

And yes, Southern Shootout coverage is coming soon to GMHTP.

HPP Magazine in conjunction with Year One, POCI and DAPA are putting on another Pavement Pounder Shootout. This time we are in Commerce, Georgia on Wednesday, July 13. This is the day before the POCI drag-race on Thursday, July 14 and part of the overall POCI Nationals experience.

Entry rules and forms can be found at:
http://www.palmettopontiacs.com/
In addition, the same information should very shortly be loaded to www.poci.org and www.dapa.org.

If you haven't heard of the Pavement Pounder Series, essentially 18-20 cars get the use of a track (Atlanta Dragway) for a day of racing where your car will be photographed and put in the magazine. The cars involved will be both Classic and late-model Pontiacs and I need help to recruit fast late model Firebirds and GTO's.

I would like to try to make it to this event with my 98 Formula if it gets back together and has the cage certified in time, I`ll send in an entry form in the near future. The car will probably be around 700-725rwhp but it is setup for hard launches(the most fun part of dragracing). Maybe PSJ and Mike Brown will bring their street cars. I posted a reply/question earlier about how strict they might be at this event. I have raced in the past while lacking safety items but I am planning on having all required equipement on me and the car

Dave did you do a 10 pt?

I'll try to look at the form tomorrow.

June is crazy for me, I mean real crazy. I have a final on June2 and then we close on our townhouse on June16, move in June24 or so.

July might be okay.

Hopefully the 10pt will get done next week by Takash( best in Orlando for cages) and maybe I can get it cert in a timely maner. The crank and block are at the machine shop, Mike and Geoff at Next Level Performance will have the motor done in 2-3 weeks, so it should be ready . I remember you saying you had finals coming up, I hope dealing with all this crap with Chris is`nt gonna mess you up. This Atlanta deal would be cool maybe a tuneup for Bowling Green, either way I`ll definately see you at BG.

Dave is Caveman.

Where is Mike Brown? That's the guy who is skeery, he's co-running a car that runs 178mph now. His street car might eat us for lunch. My only hope is that he's broke putting money in the black car.

I'd consider going if Mightmouse went, so I could see him take a certain someone to school.

So Mightmouse can take Bryan to school, and then Mike Brown could split my wig.

The CE is alive and well. First time out just taking it easy. Hardly any timing and rich as can be. It is running near what my old setup was. Best pass so far is a 10.08 @ 139 with a 1.61 60'. The car weighed in at 3825 with me in it and full interior. Soon it will be time to lean on it a little. Then I'll be looking for you PSJ.
This event is deffinately something I want to do. I'll have to wait till the last minute to register just so I can see what my work schedule is looking like though.

Have you (Bryan) ever had a good run at the track? I thought I read about you having technical difficulties and running 11's or something.

smokinhawk took some and will probably be posting them. It has had a certified cage in it for a year now. I'm good to go.

When will you be ready to run?
