Default sts with t76

Will a t76 be too much for a sts kit? I plan on putting a lme 6.0 setup down the line. So until then I plan on keeping the boost down. How bad will the spool be?

It's not needed unless you want to make over 800rwhp.Spoolup on a 346 will be slow, faster on a bigger motor.

The biggest thing to affect spoolup is the turbine housing and what turbine wheel you chose. I put my T76 R on just to see how it worked and was not able to spool it well since it used the R exhaust wheel. Got 6 psi by 3500, but anything over that took FOREVER.

A 76 p or q trim should work good. Good compromise is the T70.

Here's my post, STS w/ T76 and FMIC on an otherwise essentially stock LS1. The dyno is further down the thread, and once I get the pump in, and the rear in (12-bolt Strantge on order) I'll hit the track

Your best bet would be a Dual BB 76 with a P-trim exhaust. The link above that has the graph, shows full boost (always measured by peak torque) to be at 5500rpms ....that is major lag. A 76GTS with a .96A/R will hit peak torque ar 3800-4000. If your driving a 6spd car, your in trouble...hehe

Works for me Stock manners under 3k, limiter raised to 6500... Most of my "playing" is on the highway so I'm starting at 4k minimum as it is. Besides, I have plans for some internals and H/C in the next few months to bring things inline

No a 76GTS reaches that on a standard front mount turbo setup. On a rear setup it would lag even worse then the other unit.
